DANVILLE — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Danville on Tuesday.

The crash took place at the intersection of U.S. Route 2 and West Shore Road at around 8:50 a.m.

Police say Gwendolyn Douse, 67, of Cabot, entered U.S. Route 2 from West Shore Road and failed to notice David Sumner, 62, of Essex Junction who was headed east.

Sumner’s vehicle hit Douse’s vehicle in the passenger’s side bumper which caused her to spin out, leaving the road ending up in a swamp.

Police say both vehicles were towed from the scene.

Both Douse and Sumner were wearing their seatbelts and were not injured in the crash.
