Deer causes crash on I-91, Ryegate

RYEGATE — A 44-year-old man from New Hampshire was involved in a single-vehicle crash after hitting a deer in Ryegate yesterday.

Police responded to the crash which took place on Interstate 91 at around 5:22 p.m.

According to the police report, several deer crossed the interstate and a driver, identified as William Rabida, of Lancaster, NH, made every attempt possible to avoid the collision.

Rabida struck one of the deer, causing moderate damage to his vehicle.

Police say Rabida was not injured during the incident.
