ST. JOHNSBURY — Police responded to a head-on crash with injuries in St. Johnsbury yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place on Memorial Drive at around 9:17 p.m.

Police say just before the accident Noah Falcetti, 21, of Lyndon, was headed north and Penni Cleverley, 56, of St. Johnsbury, was headed south.

Falcetti could not maintain his lane of travel during a curve in the road, as the roadway was covered in ice.

He slid into the opposite side of the road and crashed head-on with Cleverley.

Both of the vehicles were totaled and both of the drivers sustained injuries.

The St. Johnsbury Fire Department and Calex Ambulance also responded to the scene.

Police say both drivers were transported in stable condition to Northeast Vermont Regional Hospital to be treated for lower leg injuries.
