Lyndonville police officer checked for injuries after hitting curb

St. JOHNSBURY — A Lyndonville police officer was injured after he hit a curb when responding to an emergency call on Saturday in St. Johnsbury.

The incident took place during an emergency response to an incident in the Price Chopper parking lot, dealing with a possibly armed subject refusing to identify himself, police say.

Lyndonville Police Department’s officer Robert Trucott struck a curb bordering the parking lot entrance, damaging the driver’s side front suspension, rim, and wheel well area.

The collision disabled the cruiser.

Police say officer Trucott sustained a minor injury to his head as a result of the collision.

He was later checked and released by medical staff at NVRH.

The cruiser was towed from the scene.
