Man arrested following crash on Memorial Drive

ST. JOHNSBURY — A 41-year-old man was arrested following a crash in St. Johnsbury yesterday.

Police were notified of a single-vehicle crash that took place on Memorial Drive at around 2:26 p.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that the cause of the crash was because a passenger in the vehicle, identified as Jason Allen, 41, grabbed the steering wheel causing it to leave the road and hit a telephone pole.

Police also allege that Allen physically assaulted someone in the vehicle.

He was arrested for 2nd degree aggravated domestic assault and reckless endangerment.
