BURKE — Police say a DUI crash in Burke early this morning took down some telephone lines.
At around 1:15 a.m. police received a call about a single-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 114.
Police say a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu hit a telephone pole, causing wires to go down across the road.
The driver was identified as Kathleen Lyford, 29, of Lyndon.
Police say she was uninjured in the crash.
Lyford was found to be operating under the influence of alcohol, police say.
She was arrested, processed for DUI and issued a citation to appear in Caledonia County Court to answer to the charges.
Vermont Route 114 was temporarily blocked in the area of Mount Hunger Road due to the downed lines.
