Sheffield man arrested for aggravated disorderly conduct and simple assault

ST. JOHNSBURY — Police arrested a 32-year-old Sheffield man for aggravated disorderly conduct and simple assault yesterday evening.

Police responded to the parking lot of the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehab, on Hospital Drive, for an active fight between two men.

Upon investigation, police found Jeffrey Mitchell, 32 of Sheffield, assaulted Billy-Jack Olcott, 46, also of Sheffield.

Police say the fight resulted in a minor injury.

Police took Mitchell into custody and transported him to the St. Johnsbury barracks.

He was transported to NERCC in St. Johnsbury, to be held until sober.

Police say Mitchell was cited to appear in court on December 9 to answer the charges.
