Single-vehicle crash in Waterford

WATERFORD — A 45-year-old Concord man was injured in a crash in Waterford yesterday evening.

Police responded to the crash scene which took place on Route 18, near the old County Road, at around 6:34 p.m.

Police say Matthew Dresser sustained injuries to his legs and was transported to Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital for treatment.

According to the statement issued by police, Dresser was headed north at approximately 60 miles-per-hour when the vehicle left the roadway coming to rest in the ditch.

Police said that he attempted to make the turn in the roadway but the vehicle traveled straight.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
