LUNENBURG — A 33-year-old St. Johnsbury man was charged with home improvement fraud and violation of conditions of release on August 27.

Police say they investigated the case which occurred in Lunenburg last month.

According to the police report, Nancy Reed of Lunenburg hired Ryan Kimball to perform home improvements on her residence.

A contract was signed by both parties on April 5.

It was found that $3,603.00 had been paid to Kimball for work which was never completed, police say.

Police say that Kimball also had active conditions of release in which he was not allowed to solicit home improvement contracts.

He is set to appear in Essex County court to answer to the charges in October.
