MONTPELIER — An East Montpelier woman who police say is a victim of an active investigation was threatened by a St.Johnsbury man on August 28.

At around 12:00 p.m., police say the victim contacted them and reported that she had received threatening messages from 33-year-old Ryan Kimball, of St. Johnsbury.

Police say the woman was a victim in a recent home improvement fraud that was filed against Kimball.

After investigating, police say that Kimball communicated with the victim in an “intimidating and threatening manner.”

Kimball was issued a citation to appear in Washington County Superior Court-Criminal Division on September 5 to answer to the above charge.
