RYEGATE — A 21-year-old Cannan man was involved in a single-vehicle crash after hitting a guardrail on Interstate 91 early yesterday morning.
Police responded to the crash which took place in Ryegate at around 12:20 a.m.
Police say the driver was headed north at the time, and started hydroplaning and lost control of the vehicle.
The car collided with a guardrail causing significant front end damage.
According to the report, it was raining with pooling water on the Interstate at the time.
Later in the day, a 66-year-old Danville woman fell asleep and crashed into the guardrail on Interstate 91, this time in St. Johnsbury.
Police responded to that crash at around 5:58 p.m.
Police said the driver veered across both lanes after falling asleep.
Police say the Mini Cooper came entangled in the wire cables of the guard rail at the east side of the roadway.
There were no injuries were reported during both incidents.
