HIGHGATE — A 37-year-old Boston man was cited for possession of methamphetamine and ecstasy pills at the U.S. border yesterday.

Police say they were notified by Customs and Border Patrol that they had located drugs and paraphernalia inside a vehicle at the point of entry in Highgate.

In a release, trooper Charlotte Hartman said he interviewed two suspects and determined Christopher Mckallagat knowingly had possession of over 5g of methamphetamine, a felony, and six ecstasy pills when he arrived.

Mckallagat was transported to the St. Albans barracks and cited to appear in court to answer to the charges.
