Driver injured during crash on Route 105, Sheldon

SHELDON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Sheldon yesterday.

The crash took place on Route 105 at around 12:23 p.m.

According to the report, Dale Boutah, 73, of Newport Center, attempted to pass Mark Donna, 61, of Enosburg.

While attempting to pass, the rear bumper of Boutah’s 2011 Dodge Dakota hit the front bumper of Donna’s 2019 Volvo tractor-trailer truck as he pulled back into the lane.

Police say Boutah lost control of his vehicle and went into the ditch.

He was extracted from the vehicle by Sheldon Fire and Amcare and transported to the hospital for multiple injuries.
