ENOSBURGH – After a lengthy process and several rounds of candidate interviews, the town of Enosburgh announced its new Director of Economic Development.
On Monday, December 2, Economic Development Steering Committee selected Enosburgh local Sean Kio as the new Director.
“I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and meeting with business owners, community leaders, and all other organizations,” said Kio. “For a small community, Enosburgh has a lot of momentum happening.”
A US Air Force veteran and a graduate of Saint Leo University, Kio will be responsible for cultivating business growth, developing the workforce, building economic resilience, and grant management.
Kio has lived in the Enosburgh community for 3 years, and has spent the last 5 years in the telecommunication industry, most recently as Burlington Telecom’s Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
For his dedication to work and community involvement Kio was awarded the Vermont Chamber of Commerce “Above and Beyond” award in 2018.
He also co-chairs the Enosburgh Technology & Innovation Committee.
Kio will hold open office hours at the Enosburgh Community Center on Tuesday & Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
