GEORGIA — A 25-year-old Fairfield man will face charges following an incident in Georgia on Friday.

Police say they attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle belonging to Shawn Bushey for a traffic infraction at around 9:45 p.m.

The vehicle allegedly started to stop, and then accelerated at a high rate of speed attempting to elude police.

Police say the vehicle traveled at a high rate of speed weaving in and out of traffic during hazardous road conditions until it exited the interstate in Saint Albans.

Police terminated the pursuit after positively identifying the driver.

Yesterday Bushey turned himself in at the Saint Albans State police barracks where he was processed and released with a citation.
