ENOSBURG — A 57-year-old Highgate man was charged with home improvement fraud on Friday.

Police received a report of a possible fraud incident at a residence on Missisquoi Street in Enosburg back on October 24.

Police say the victim reported that he had paid money upfront to a contractor for a home improvement project and never received the expected work in return.

The contractor was identified as Ronald Durenleau, 57 of Highgate.

Police say they investigated the incident and met with Durenleau at his residence and issued him a citation to appear before the court on November 25.

According to police, this appears to have been an isolated incident.
