Man arrested for burglary at Switchyard Mobile, St. Albans

ST. ALBANS — A 40-year-old Milton man was arrested for multiple charges including burglary, following an incident in St. Albans on Saturday.

Police responded to Switchyard Mobile at 138 Lake Street after a burglary alarm went off at around 1:11 a.m.

The window had been broken into, and the cash register and ATM were damaged.

Police say they had witnessed a man acting suspiciously in front of the store prior to closing earlier in the evening.

Police identified the suspect as Andrew Yandow.

Police say they located Yandow at Maplefields on Fairfax Road after being tipped off.

According to the police report, Yandow was wearing the same clothing as when he allegedly broke into Switchyard.

Police took him into custody for burglary, felony unlawful mischief, possessing a deadly weapon while committing a felony, and possession of a controlled substance.

Yandow was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
