Milton man arrested for DUI, possession of crystal meth in St. Albans

ST. ALBANS — A 35-year-old Milton man was arrested for DUI and possession of methamphetamine following an incident in St. Albans yesterday.

Police were notified by an individual that an erratic driver was headed north on Swanton Road at around 12:42 p.m.

Authorities located the vehicle, a 2015 Mercedes Benz, in the drive-thru at McDonalds.

Police say they observed the vehicle as it left McDonalds and witnessed multiple motor vehicle driving infractions.

The vehicle was stopped by the police at the exit of Highgate Commons in St. Albans.

Police identified the driver as Dominic Dechristofero and say he exhibited several signs of drug impairment.

After undergoing field sobriety tests, Dechristofero was placed under arrest.

Subsequently police searched Dechristofero’s vehicle which resulted in the discovery of crystal methamphetamine.

Police say Dechristofero was processed for DUI and possession of methamphetamine, and subsequently released with a court citation ordering him to appear on December 23.
