NEFCU donates $20,000 to 4 organizations in Franklin County

FRANKLIN — New England Federal Credit Union has made a number of donations to local community organizations to round out its 2019 community giving initiatives.

Three of the nine donations in 2019 were awarded to organizations in Franklin County.

High-quality health care service providers in home and community settings, Franklin County Home Health Agency, Inc. has received $5,000.

Their aim is to promote health, independence, comfort, dignity, and quality of life in a professional manner.

Tim’s House Shelter, which offers emergency shelter to homeless families and individuals in Franklin and Grand Isle counties, has been awarded $5,000.

Martha’s Community Kitchen, with the goal of helping hungry individuals and families by providing nourishment and companionship, has been awarded $5,000.

For over 30 years and through passionate service Martha’s Community Kitchen worked hard to restore dignity to families in need.

United Way, working towards education, financial stability and health of every person in Chittenden, Franklin and Grand Isle counties, has been awarded $5,000.

The organization brings together individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and government entities to fight for a strong, vibrant, and healthy community.
