ST. ALBANS — A 31-year-old woman who was a wanted fugitive from New Hampshire was arrested in St. Albans yesterday.

Police say they conducted a traffic stop on Lake Street in the area of Walnut Street at around 9:58 p.m.

During the course of the stop, police identified the driver as Tina M. Barratt.

Police subsequently learned Barratt was a wanted fugitive from New Hampshire.

Police say several years earlier, Barratt had been involved in a burglary of a home where she was found to be in possession of three stolen firearms.

She was convicted of felony possession of the stolen property and incarcerated.

Police say she violated her conditions almost immediately and fled the state to Vermont in August of 2019 while on parole.

She was held at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail, and is due in court today.
