ST. ALBANS — Police arrested a 28-year-old Burlington man after they say he sold the fentanyl laced pills which resulted in the death of a St. Albans man.
Police originally responded to Russell Street in St. Albans City back on May 5, where Donald Stevens III, 33, of St. Albans was found deceased.
According to the police report, his death was determined to be an overdose of Fentanyl.
After months of investigation into his death, police arrested Shawn A. Cochran for selling the fentanyl laced pills to Stevens.
Cochran will have to face charges of dispensing or selling a regulated drug with death resulting and violation of conditions of release.
Police say at the time of his death, he was on court ordered conditions of release which included he abide by a 24 hour curfew, and that he was not to possess regulated drugs without a prescription.
