ENOSBURG — A 63-year-old man was charged with unlawful trespass following an incident in Enosburg yesterday.

Police were notified of a trespassing complaint at a home on Sampsonville Road at around 3:06 p.m.

The property owner called in to report that a man, identified as William Guidry, was staying in the home that was supposed to be vacant.

Police say they found an individual was in fact inside the home when they arrived.

Despite several attempts at getting the individual to come to the door, the police received no response from inside the home.

Police say they made entry into the home and ultimately made contact with Guidry in an upstairs bedroom where he was taken into custody without further incident.

Guidry was transported to the St. Albans barracks for processing and lodged at the Northwest State Correctional Facility.

He is scheduled to appear in court on November 9 to answer to the charge.
