Single-vehicle crash with injuries, Swanton

SWANTON — A 27-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle crash due to snowy road conditions in Swanton yesterday.

Police responded to the crash which took place near the area 2208 Sheldon Road at around 2:00 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Sheena Gagnon, of Swanton.

According to the report, Gagnon attempted to pass a vehicle as she was headed northeast on Vermont 105.

Witnesses and Gagnon told police that she lost control of the vehicle due to the snow-covered roads at the time of the crash.

The vehicle went off the road and hit a tree in front of a residence at 2208 Vermont 105.

Gagnon and a passenger inside the vehicle were transported to Northwestern Medical Center for injuries.
