GEORGIA — A 40-year-old man from St. Albans was arrested for DUI following an incident in Georgia on Saturday.

Authorities say they were notified of an erotic driver on Route 7 at around 1:45 p.m.

The complainant stated that the vehicle hit a mailbox and was all over the road.

A second report came in about a vehicle with a similar description that was off the road in a ditch on Mill River Road.

Police say the driver had left the scene when they arrived.

Following an investigation, police say they located the driver at a home a short distance from the crash scene.

The driver was then identified as Eric Herbert.

State police say they suspected that Herbert was under the influence of intoxicants and he was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

He was transported to the St. Albans State Police barracks for processing and released with a citation to appear in court.
