St. Albans Police Department issues 30 tickets, 47 warnings, 8 arrests over holiday weekend.

ST. ALBANS — During the 2019 Thanksgiving holiday, the St. Albans Police Department says they continued their highway safety initiative.

With 77 traffic stops, the police conducted a number of saturation patrols targeting aggressive or impaired drivers, and issued 30 Vermont Civil Violation Complaints, and 47 warnings.

The St. Albans Police Department also made the following arrests:

Ryan Austin (23) – Georgia – Driving under the influence of alcohol (second or subsequent offense) & excessive speed – released on citation.

Casey T. Stetson (49) from Alburgh, was driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense) – released on citation .

Mason Vieta (21) from, Highgate, was driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense), negligent operation, resisting arrest – released on citation.

Gabrielle Trahan (24) from St. Albans, driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense) – released on citation.

Hannah Ploof (24) from St. Albans, driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense) – released on citation.

Austin Balentine (23) from Georgia, driving under the influence of alcohol (first offense) – released on citation.

Rene Verge (44) from Alburgh, operating after suspension or revocation of license (suspended for DUI) – released on citation.

Mike Gerrow (33) from Enosburg, operating after suspension or revocation of license (suspended for DUI) – released on citation.

“The St. Albans Police Department encourages drivers to stay safe and use a designated driver if their holiday plans include alcohol consumption or any other driving ability affecting chemical that affects your ability to drive,” a statement by the department reads.
