Swanton police investigating month long BB-gun vandalism spree

SWANTON — Police in Swanton say they are still investigating a series of incidents where someone shot pellets from a BB gun at local homes, cars, and businesses.

On November 8, police were notified of a home on Lake Street that had a window shot out with a BB gun.

The next day they were notified of a similar incident on South River Street. The window of the residence was stuck seven times with a BB gun.

On November 10, police were notified of a business on North River Street that had several vehicles in the yard with windows shot out with a BB gun.

The next day police say a vehicle on North River Street had a BB sized dent in the door of the victim’s vehicle.

On November 17, police responded to North River Street for a window of a residence being shot out with a BB gun.

The victim told police that a car drove by the residence as the window was shot out, but was unable to get a description of the vehicle.

The next day, Swanton Lumber on North River Street called in regarding a window being shot out with a BB gun.
