Arrest made in Lamoille, Chittenden county convenience store burglaries

MORRISVILLE — Police have made an arrest following a string of burglaries that took place across Lamoille and Chittenden counties.

John Shambo, 56, of Burlington, was arrested and charged with four counts of burglary today.

Shambo was lodged on outstanding warrants and will be arraigned on January 3.

Yesterday, after releasing surveillance footage of two persons of interest, police say they learned the identity of both individuals.

They were located and interviewed about their involvement.

The burglaries took place at:

Jericho Jolly on December 21 at 5:27 a.m.
Eden Mini Mart on December 23 at 2:09 a.m.
Cupboard Deli in Cambridge on December 25 at 12:35 a.m.
Madonna Mobil in Cambridge on December 21 at 1:23 a.m.

During each burglary, forced entry was made by breaking the front door glass or front window glass.
