Let’s Grow Kids hosting FREE Leading Change for Children Advocacy conference in Johnson

JOHNSON — Let’s Grow Kids is hosting a free Leading Change for Children advocacy conferences in Montpelier, Johnson, and Manchester in support of high-quality, affordable childcare.

Two-weekend conferences are set on Saturday, December 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northern Vermont University in Johnson and Burr and Burton Academy in Manchester.

“The Leading Change for Children conferences will prepare us to create even bigger change together in 2020,” said Let’s Grow Kids CEO, Aly Richards.

Conference participants will learn about the legislative process, create regional action plans and attend workshops, while educators will be able to earn credits for professional development.

Attendees will also learn how to organize a No Small Matter film screening and how health care and childcare professionals are working together to give kids healthy foundations.

Finally, participants will learn how to a No Small Matter film screening and how health care and childcare practitioners work together to provide safe environments for children.

One weekday conference is scheduled for Tuesday, December 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Vermont State House in Montpelier.
