STOWE – Stowe will be celebrating their opening day with “first chair” festivities for the upcoming ski and snowboard season.
On the first chairlift of the winter season, skiers and riders climbing to the summit will have the honor of crashing through a commemorative banner before making the first tracks on the slopes.
Stowe’s opening day is set for tomorrow.
Stowe will have a total of 17 trails, 101 acres and 6 miles of terrain open including prominent runs like Liftline, Sunrise, Standard, Lord, North Slope, and Centerline.
A live DJ will play at the Four Runner Quad starting at 7:30 a.m. and the first chair will load at 8 a.m.
Guests will have a chance to win prizes, and complimentary breakfast sandwiches will be served at 7:30 a.m.
The celebration will continue in the Mansfield Den with an après ski party.
