BROOKFIELD — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Brookfield this morning.
The crash took place on Interstate 89 at around 9:20 a.m.
One of the vehicles was seen disabled in the passing lane while the other was on its roof in the breakdown lane.
According to the report, Jeanne Gricci, 72, of Northfield, was in the travel lane and abruptly turned into the passing lane, while Derek Chase, 39, of Stowe, was attempting to pass.
The vehicles collided, and both were totaled as a result of the crash.
Traffic was temporarily diverted to one lane.
Police say nobody was injured during the crash.
