UNDERHILL — A 66-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Underhill last week.

On June 9, police responded to Cloverdale Road to the report of a male discharging a firearm in the vicinity of a neighbor whom he was having an ongoing verbal dispute with.

Police say Fulton, William, 44, of Underhill, indicated that he was out in the yard when his neighbor, Veverka, Robert, 66, of Underhill came out of his house and made numerous threats of violence towards him.

William told police that he initially ignored these rants but then noticed Robert stepped out onto his back porch and fired off what appeared to be a .22 cal pistol in his general direction.

William also told that Robert then said something to the effect that it was a warning shot and “the next one he was dead.”

Police say they made contact with William to get his side of the story but were immediately met with confrontation.

Robert was taken into custody after a short struggle and lodged at Northwest Correctional Center.
