MILTON — Vermont State Game Wardens charged four Chittenden County men for poaching several deer.
Paul Brown, 35, of Milton was arraigned on December 5 in Chittenden Superior Court for several fish and wildlife crimes, and violating conditions of release of an earlier poaching case this year which prohibited him from hunting in Vermont and possessing firearms, bows and arrows.
Wardens executed a number of search warrants relating to several illegal deer taken by Brown and 28-year-old Tony Larock of Milton, 18-year-old Colby Ducharme of Milton, and 32-year-old Chad Limoge of Colchester.
A large number of evidence linking the suspects to the taking, possessing and transporting of multiple illegal deer has been recovered.
Brown was found with several muzzle-loading rifles in violation of his release conditions in a separate active poaching case.
Larock has been charged with multiple fish and wildlife crimes and will be arraigned in Chittenden Superior Court on December 19, 2019.
Ducharme has been charged with taking deer in closed season and will be arraigned in Chittenden Superior Court on January 14, 2020.
Limoge has been charged with possession and transportation of illegal deer and will be arraigned in Chittenden Superior Court on February 11, 2020.
More charges are pending in this case, police say.
