ROXBURY — Members of the Vermont State Police Bomb Squad responded to dispose of a case of old dynamite found in a former schoolhouse under renovation in Roxbury.
Police say the decades-old explosives were stabilized by being soaked in diesel fuel and safely removed from the building.
The dynamite was destroyed in a controlled burn.
According to the report, team members also worked to adhere to social distancing and other personal health protocols as it relates to COVID-19 throughout the operation.
They say the disposal was both safe and successful.
