Driver wanted by multiple law enforcement agencies arrested in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A 25-year-old Westford man is facing multiple charges after being picked up in Waterbury on Saturday.

State Police say they initiated a traffic stop on US Route 2 after observing a traffic infraction at around 5:45 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Alexander T. Seagroves.

According to the police report, Seagroves was driving a motor vehicle on a public highway with a criminally suspended license.

Police say he was also in violation of his conditions of release.

In addition, police say he was issued a citation to appear in court in Franklin County on March 9, to answer the charges of attempting to elude a police officer, grossly careless and negligent operation, violation of conditions of release and DLS-C.

Police say these charges stemmed from a previous incident that was being investigated by police in St. Albans.

He was also issued a citation to appear in court to answer the charges of careless and negligent operation, violation of conditions of release and DLS-C, on the behalf of the Winooski Police Department.
