Fatal motorcycle crash in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A 42-year-old resident of Orange was killed in a motorcycle crash in Waterbury this morning.

Emergency workers were notified of a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on I-89 north at around 10:30 a.m.

Police say the operator, identified as Karen Crossett, left the roadway and struck a guardrail, suffering fatal injuries during the crash.

Crossett was declared deceased by rescue personnel at the scene.

Police say the crash is currently under investigation and any witnesses are asked to contact the Middlesex State Police at 802-229-9191.

The Vermont State Police were assisted by the Waterbury Fire Department as well as Waterbury Rescue.
