MONTPELIER – Governor Phil Scott is welcoming all citizens to join in lighting up the State’s official Christmas tree on Thursday, December 5 in front of the steps of the Vermont State House in Montpelier.
The event will take place from 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
The Governor will be joined by the family who donated the tree, and members of his cabinet and the community as he lights the tree.
Come experience a festive regional choral music ensemble, and see 2019 magnificently full balsam that has been selected from home in Calais.
After the lighting, cookies and hot cider will warm everyone up at the Vermont History Museum.
