Police: Duxbury man clocked doing 98 mph on U.S. Route 2 in Cabot

CABOT — A 27-year-old man from Duxbury was cited for the charge of excessive speed in Cabot yesterday.

Police say they pulled over a vehicle clocked traveling 98 miles-per-hour in a posted 50 miles-per-hour zone on U.S. Route 2 at around 4:37 p.m.

The operator was identified as Patrick Sherman.

Police took him into custody for excessive speed and transported him to the State Police barracks in Middlesex for processing.

He was later released with a citation and scheduled to appear in court on May 7.
