Police looking for driver after crash on Vermont Route 14, Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Williamstown on Tuesday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 14 near Old Town Road at around 6:05 p.m.

According to the report, Marie Abare, 34, of Williamstown, was headed north when she saw an unknown vehicle in her lane of travel.

Police say Abare swerved off the side of the road and into a snowbank to avoid a collision with the vehicle.

The unknown vehicle immediately left the scene.

It was described as possibly a blue sedan, police say.
