Police looking for man who escaped arrest in Waterbury

WATERBURY — Police are trying to locate a 35-year-old Essex man who got away while being arrested.

Police responded to a home on Carrie Lane in Waterbury on Friday, October 25, at around 7:00 p.m. after receiving a report that Thomas Savard was at the residence.

Savard was in violation of his court-ordered conditions of release.

Upon searching the residence Troopers located Savard who resisted being taken into custody and ultimately fled the area on foot.

Several attempts were made to locate Savard but were unsuccessful.

Savard has 3 active warrants for his arrest in Washington and Chittenden Counties for offenses including aggravated domestic assault, unlawful restraint and violation of conditions of release.
