RICHMOND — A 26-year-old man was cited for negligent operation following a crash in Richmond yesterday.

The crash took place on Interstate 89 north, at around 11:50 a.m.

According to the police report, the driver of a tractor-trailer, identified as Darren A. Angus, 26, of Neptune, NJ, was attempted to utilize a u-turn, and travel south.

His truck blocked both lanes of I-89 north during this maneuver.

A 2014 GMC pickup truck, driven by Matthew J. Slocum, 45, of Northfield, was approaching and swerved from the travel lane into the passing lane, attempting to avoid Angus’s vehicle.

Slocum hit the driver’s side door of the tractor-trailer, causing significant damage.

Slocum’s truck sustained major front end damage.

Police say nobody was injured in this crash.

Angus was cited to appear in court on March 24 for negligent operation.
