RICHMOND — A 17-year-old skier was located today after a search that began last night at the Bolton Valley Ski Resort.

Police were alerted that there was an overdue skier at around 11:12 p.m.

The skier was identified as Josh Arsenault, of Fremont, New Hampshire.

Police say they responded and found Arsenault’s vehicle in the parking lot at the resort.

Arsenault was believed to have been still on the mountain and likely skied out of bounds when the search was started.

Police say a helicopter and an unmanned aircraft system assisted in the search efforts.

Today at around 7:30 a.m, he was located on a VAST trail at the town line of Waterbury and Stowe, nearly four miles from the resort.

Arsenault was found in good condition and brought back to the resort and reunited with his parents, who had traveled from New Hampshire during the search efforts.
