Woodbury man arrested after firing semi-automatic rifle into air when police arrived at his home

WOODBURY — A 28-year-old man was arrested for multiple charges following a fight in Woodbury on Friday.

Police say they were notified of a family fight at around 2:44 a.m.

After speaking with the victim police allege an assault had occurred.

Following an investigation, police located the accused, Trevor Alden, of Woodbury, at his home.

Police say while approaching the home, Alden came out of his home firing a semi-automatic style rifle approximately four to five times.

Police successfully de-escalate the situation and took Alden into custody for the charges of domestic assault, criminal threatening, reckless endangerment, assault on law enforcement, and aggravated assault.

He was arrested and transported to the Middlesex State Police barracks without incident.

He was later held without bail and ordered to appear in court on September 28.
